Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about booking, delivery, setup, safety, rental time, and what to expect on event day.
Booking & Payment
How do I reserve a rental?
Browse the available rentals online, choose your event date and time, and follow the Inflatable Office booking steps. A 50% deposit secures an advance reservation. Last-minute bookings must be paid in full.
When is the remaining balance due?
The remaining balance is due 24 hours before delivery. If you want to pay the balance in cash, notify Salty Air in advance and have the exact amount available at delivery.
How far in advance should I book?
Booking at least three days ahead is recommended, especially for summer weekends. Availability is always based on your selected event date and the current Inflatable Office inventory.
What is the cancellation policy?
More than five days before the event, the deposit is eligible for a full refund. Within five days, the deposit is non-refundable but may be returned as a Salty Air booking credit valid for one year. Weather rescheduling requires at least 24 hours’ notice before scheduled delivery. See the Rental Agreement for the complete terms.
Is customer pickup available?
No. Customer pickup is not available. Salty Air delivers, sets up, and retrieves the rented equipment.
Rental Time, Delivery & Locations
What does Standard Rental mean?
Standard Rental means up to 8 hours of actual event use. Eligible residential rentals include free overnight / next-morning pickup at no additional charge. Free overnight is a pickup benefit and does not convert Standard Rental into a 24-hour rental.
Does every rental include free overnight?
No. Free overnight is available only for eligible residential rentals. It is not available for park, church, or event-location rentals that require delivery and retrieval within scheduled time windows.
Can I request same-day pickup?
Yes, when scheduling allows. A $50 same-day pickup fee applies.
What are the delivery fees?
Inflatable Office calculates delivery from Salty Air’s location: 0–10 miles is free; 11–20 miles is $35; 21–30 miles is $60; 31–35 miles is $85; 36–40 miles is $110; and 41–45 miles is $140. Locations beyond 45 miles are generally restricted and are not normally serviced.
Is there a minimum rental subtotal?
Yes. The rental subtotal minimum is $200 for 0–30 miles, $250 for 31–40 miles, and $300 for 41–45 miles. Delivery fees do not count toward the minimum rental subtotal.
Do you deliver to parks, churches, and event venues?
Yes, when the location and equipment are suitable. Rentals requiring a scheduled delivery and pickup window have a $75 scheduled-window fee and are not eligible for overnight pickup. Customers are responsible for required permits and venue approvals. Contact Salty Air before booking so power, access, anchoring, and timing can be confirmed.
What areas do you serve?
Salty Air is based in Herriman and serves eligible locations across the surrounding Salt Lake Valley and nearby communities. Delivery availability and fees are determined by the event address. Visit the Service Area page or use the delivery-area checker on a rental page.
Setup, Power & Water
What access and setup area do you need?
Customers must provide a safe, unobstructed route and a suitable, level setup area that can accommodate the rented equipment and its required clearance. Product-specific space and access requirements control; contact Salty Air if you are unsure.
What power is required?
Customers must provide an appropriate dedicated electrical source within the required distance. Blower and circuit requirements depend on the rented equipment, so the product information, booking details, and Salty Air’s setup instructions control.
Do I need to provide water?
Only for a rental booked for wet use. Customers must provide a working garden hose that reaches the setup area. Water is not required for dry-use rentals, and water may never be used on dry-only equipment.
What surfaces can you set up on?
Grass is generally anchored with stakes. Approved hard-surface or indoor setups may require appropriate alternate anchoring and additional fees. Tell Salty Air the exact surface when booking; the setup must remain properly anchored and may not be moved after installation.
Safety & Equipment
Are rentals cleaned and inspected?
Salty Air cleans and sanitizes rental equipment after each rental and inspects equipment before use.
What are the wind limits?
Inflatables must not be used when sustained winds reach 15 mph or gusts reach 20 mph. Stop use immediately during lightning, thunder, heavy rain, or other unsafe conditions. Follow the emergency steps on the Safety Rules page.
Is adult supervision required?
Yes. A responsible adult age 18 or older must actively supervise inflatable use at all times and enforce the posted and provided safety rules.
What if equipment is damaged or stops working?
Stop use immediately and contact Salty Air. Do not attempt repairs or move the equipment. Customers are responsible for damage caused by misuse; complete equipment-care and damage terms are in the Rental Agreement.
